VEHICLE INSPECTION SERVICES IN MANDURAH

At AVS Mechanical we provide inspection services to all types of vehicles. Our mechanics carry out inspections in accordance with all applicable road and traffic authority requirements. We inspect trailers and caravans in addition to vehicles. We make certain that your car is roadworthy, functional and most importantly safe.

Ride Share Annual Inspections

In Western Australia, all ride share vehicles need to pass an annual vehicle inspection at an Approved Inspection Station (AIS). This is a requirement for holding a PTV (Passenger Transport Vehicle) under On-Demand Charter category. All Uber, Ola, DiDi, Lyft vehicles must pass an annual inspection.

Interstate Vehicle Transfer Inspections

All interstate vehicles, regardless of age of the vehicle, must be inspected at an Authorised Inspection Station (AIS) and issued with a valid certificate of inspection before they can be licensed in WA.

Yellow Sticker Inspections

When your vehicle is found to be unroadworthy, it can be issued with a Department of Transport defect notice, more commonly referred to as a work order or yellow sticker. These are issued with an expiry date, after which your vehicle loses its registration and can’t be used on WA roads.

VEHICLE INSPECTION SERVICES IN MANDURAH

AVS Mechanical conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to establish whether the vehicle is roadworthy. We make sure that you are getting what you pay for. We check for any mechanical or electrical faults and ensure that all of the components are in working order.

Carrying out an inspection helps to avoid buying a vehicle that has underlying issues. Vehicles with pre-existing problems can cause the buyer major headaches down the track. Major engine issues and electrical or computer faults are commonly associated with used cars so, used vehicles should be inspected prior to making a purchase.

We also carry out roadworthiness inspections for cars that are not registered. When an automobile becomes unroadworthy or the owner of the vehicle stops paying for the vehicle’s registration, it becomes unregistered. When a vehicle becomes unregistered, it must undergo a mandated inspection to determine whether it requires repairs or adjustments before being registered.

TRAILER INSPECTIONS IN MANDURAH

Before loading up your trailer, there are a few steps you will need to take to ensure that you are adhering to the requirements of the transport authority. To use a trailer on Western Australian roads you will need to book it in for a roadworthiness inspection. Authorised Inspection Station providers comply with the Department of Transport inspection guidelines to carry out comprehensive trailer inspections. When carrying out a trailer inspection we assess its roadworthiness and ensure that it safe to operate on our roads. Once we have carried out the inspection, you will then need to apply for the trailer to be registered.

Our team will check all of the necessary parts of your trailer including:
